Marc Coan Designs celebrates a decade of business this year, a milestone that the local design firm will mark with an open house at their showroom. The refreshments and hors d’oeuvre social hour, being held Wednesday June 19th from 4-7pm, will feature live music from Lone Pinon, appetizers crafted by M'Tucci's Restaurant, and wine.
Local artisan Marc Coan founded Marc Coan Designs in 2009 after 25 years as a custom furniture builder and woodworker. He realized that he could provide a unique service to those hoping to remodel their kitchens and bathrooms, by offering a collaborative process that starts with a customer’s vision and culminates in finely crafted, personalized interior spaces.
Marc Coan knew that founding a business in 2009 — amid the Great Recession — was risky, but he was committed to his vision of offering expert designs in a welcoming, unintimidating space. Through the years, Marc Coan Designs has worked with hundreds of New Mexicans to build their dream interiors. Their clients' satisfaction is proven by their high number of referral and repeat customers, generating most of their sales. The firm retains its small-business roots in order to continue to deliver their signature, personalized service, which is often missing in larger organizations.
“Helping people with design challenges in their homes has been something I’ve always found joy in," Marc Coan said. "Being able to expand that into a business was not only a dream, but the next natural step in my journey. I’m grateful for the amazing ride over the last 10 years and am excited to continue creating wonderful spaces for people to love and live in for many years to come.”
